Nevermind the fact that the blockbuster game, could have been a movie, has another twenty+ days before shipping... The long-anticipated Halo party is right aroung the corner, waiting to ring in the final saga of the trilogy.

Sony has been down this road once, with the (higher quality than VHS) Betamax video tapes. It's unlikely that they have any intention of losing the market a second time.

GameTap, the first-of-its-kind broadband entertainment network from Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) announced today that it is expanding its offerings to the Mac community. Intel-based Mac users now have access to GameTap’s Lite Player, which offers more than 500 titles to play from GameTap’s massive library of new and classic video games, as well as more than 600 streaming videos of original programming from GameTap TV.

Days before the E3 Expo, Sony announced plans to slash the price of the PS3 by $100 USD, as well as introducing an updated system with and 80 Gb hard disk, which will sell for $599 USD.
